Crows in the Winter
There are many times when you have to go looking for
inspiration. But once in a while, inspiration comes along
and hits you over the head.
I was driving along the Lake Michigan shore on my way home
from a visit to the art museum.
It was a cold winter's afternoon. There was a lagoon that
had frozen over, and fresh snow covered the ice. Black
crows danced and played in the brilliant whiteness.
It was an unbelievably beautiful choreography.
I stopped the car. I drew as fast and as reverently as I could.
